If you have ever celebrated Christmas in the tropics, you would know that the heat never dies down in December. Therefore, drinking warm beverages aren't a great solution to the harsh weather. However, here's a cocktail straight out of Puerto Rico, the Coquito, a tropical equivalent to the popular eggnog. Instead of using eggs, this creamy delight harnesses the flavours of the coconut paired with top quality white rum.

Best made in a large batch, the Coquito is a one blender and easy to make drink. Perfect for entertaining a group of guests next tropical Christmas. Since the recipe doesn't contain any egg, it can be kept in the fridge for over a month. In case you'd want to have a batch all for yourself!

  • 350ml White Rum

  • 450ml Coconut Cream

  • 350ml Evaporated Milk

  • 400ml Condensed Milk

  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

  • 1/4 Teaspoon Cinnamon Powder

  • 1/8 Teaspoon Nutmeg Powder

Combine all the ingredients in a blender and mix at high speed. Refrigerate for 1 hour. Shake well before serving. Serve straight or over ice. Keep Coquito in a sealed bottle in the fridge.
